About Me
_
I have come a long way to become a therapist. I was brought up in a small village in the west of Hungary. As a child I once had a dream to live in Budapest, that beautiful city. When it came true, when I was about 22, I started work as a teacher. I loved working with kids. Unfortunately, at that time teaching was not enough to support me financially so I moved into business life. I worked in close relation with people in various positions, supporting them in their development and aspirations, for 6 years. Gradually though, I realized I did not want just to help make companies richer - I wanted to have more impact on how people think and live. During this time, too, another dream awoke in me: to live abroad and to work on my self, to get to know who I am, where I come from, and what my mission in life is. I went into therapy. It has been more than 20 years now since I decided, yes, I want to be a therapist. But how?
Life took me to Amsterdam, where another dream came true, but it was a time to start everything from scratch, leaving behind a stable job, family and friends and all that gave me a feeling of security. In this new environment I experienced a lot of frustration, isolation and a sort of crisis I had never experienced before. I did not know who I was any more. So I started therapy again - and my therapist happened to be a psychosynthesis therapist, in fact, the one who most inspired me to become a therapist like him as well. And at that point my close relationship with psychosynthesis psychotherapy began. My motivation has never stopped; on the contrary, with the passing of years it has become stronger. Yes, this is what I want; to work as a psychotherapist.
For more than 15 years now I have been practicing in Belgium. I am a 56-year-old Hungarian, divorced and have a wonderful 18 year-old son. I work in English and Dutch besides my Hungarian mother tongue.
